Treat housing as a basic human need—expand affordable and social housing, protect tenants, and hold developers to clear, community-driven standards.

Pursue a higher minimum wage, support unions and local businesses, and make property taxes fair and predictable for residents.

Safeguard Biddeford’s forests, waters, and wildlife through conservation partnerships and smart, responsible planning.

Meet Nasreen
Nasreen Sheikh-Yousef is a community organizer and advocate who rents at Lincoln Lofts and has called Maine home for 21 years. She has worked alongside people experiencing homelessness and serious mental illness, served on the Heart of Biddeford board, and helped advance statewide initiatives like ranked-choice voting and Medicaid expansion. As a former Portland Charter Commissioner, she focused on accountable government and public safety oversight.
How to Vote in Biddeford
Make a plan to vote—register, vote early by absentee, or vote on Election Day.
- Register / Update Registration: Use the city’s guide to register in person or online.
- Vote Early (Absentee): Request an absentee ballot or vote at the Clerk’s Office.
- Election Day Info: All in-person voting is at Biddeford High School Tiger Gym (20 Maplewood Ave), 7:00 AM–8:00 PM. on Tuesday, November 4th.
